Picasso - The Unhappy Woman
Picasso wanted to show this woman's unhappiness.
The jagged shapes are like pieces af glass. They make us think of strong feelings like anger or sadness. These painting were made by Year 5 students.

More student comments: In Art I learned...
To express my feelings in bits of a picture.
All about Leonardo's life.
All about illuminated letters that the monks did before printing was invented.
That Leonardo designed a wooden tank.
That Vincent cut off his ear.
That Modigiani painted portraits with long faces, necks and noses.
We could draw our own versions of famous art.
To be patient.
To be focused.
That art calms me down when I'm sad or angry.
That art makes me feel enthusiastic.
A lot of things that I never knew before.
All about Marc Chagall and his weird pictures with apple faces.
